Thanksgiving
Tonight a bunch of my co-workers go together for a Thanksgiving potluck. There was no turkey, mashed potatoes, perogies or cabbage rolls, but we did have a variety of other delicious goodies that we managed to cook up in our tiny kitchens. We talked about traditions that each of our families enjoy during the holidays. I explained about my Ukrainian fusion holidays. We talked about the things we are thankful for.
I'm more than thankful for amazing family who love and support me in my absence. Also, my friends here in Korea who are here for me through thick and thin. For my friends back home who don't forget me and know that even though I'm away more than I'm home we still have strong bonds.
This job has been such a blessing. I'm thankful to be able to be in a place that I like and make decent money right after school. I live without paying rent. I'm able to pay off a lot of my debt and save money. I feel like I'm able to do a lot more because of coming over here.
I love traveling and this has been my way to do it. I'm so thankful to see interesting places. It's giving me a little more perspective.
I'm thankful for my students-the good ones for keeping me sane and the bad ones for helping me to not take the good ones for granted. ^^ This is a learning experience. Everyday I find it in myself, somewhere, to remain cool and collected.
There are a million other things, but I'll keep some of those to myself.
