Fresh Faces and reminders.

It's that time of year again-when we get a big group of teachers leaving and some new ones arriving.

It's so refreshing to have some new people around. They're from The USA and Canada and everyone seems to get along pretty well. It's nice to meet some people who are excited to be here and have great ideas about what they want to do in their classes and how they can help/effect the kids. A little bit more of a social community is forming as we eat meals together, have games, Norebang and club nights. It's a new and different feel from the past chapters in this Korean book, but it's been a lot of fun.

The main thing I love about new people arriving is the reminder of the strange/interesting/wonderful things that we experience daily living in Korea. As they walk along the neon-lit street, looking around at all the things going on around them, I realize that this is a wonderful place. I love the surprise of something new everyday. That is what Korea brings. Change. It's always moving and I love that.

I'm so excited for Sumi to get here and we can experience all the touristy/new things together. I often take this place for granted and I really want to be awake and experiencing everything for the last 5 months here

I'm so blessed. Life is good. I have wonderful friends, a decent job (well at least one that is paying off my mountains of debt while allowing me to see and do so much). I don't know exactly what the future holds, but I'm trusting to be lead in a direction that is right for me.

I can't believe you've been there for two whole years. I've been 'following' you for 2 years.
I'm so excited to go back and actually live there and in addition to that, I get to meet tons of new people and be independent, travel and so on.
enjoy your final months there Sarah!
