Robbed
Today at work I left my purse in my class room while I went to the office to make copies and chat with my friends for a bit. Earlier I had taken my glasses off and put them on my desk because they were bothering me.
I came back to my room after about 20 minutes to put them back on and I noticed that they were gone. It was one of those moments that I could remember clearly. I put them RIGHT THERE. I instantly grabbed my bag and pulled out my wallet. I had about 130,000won in cash in it. It was all gone. Someone had come into my room on the 6th floor and stole about $100 and eye glasses. Someone had also gone into Amber's room while she was also at the office for 15 mins. She had about 110,000won stolen.
Whoever robbed us seemed to know exactly what they were doing. I have a Louis Vuitton wallet. I had all sorts of important cards in my wallet. None of them were taken. Neither was my camera, cell phone or ipod. I'm very thankful that none of that stuff was taken, but I can't help to wonder why on earth would someone steal my glasses??? It's not a big deal, but more of a pain.
A few people are convinced that it was a co-worker. The manager said that he didn't unlock the door until after we discovered our missing stuff. No one saw anyone fishy lurking around. The kids hadn't arrived yet.
I'm just trying to remember what I could have lost and what would have happened if my ARC had disappeared two weeks before needing to leave the country. I could be a lot worse.
I'm just so pissed at myself for leaving my purse there. I usually take it with me everywhere I go. Lesson learned.

You're right Sarah ...it could have been a whole lot worse! ..but so frustrating & upsetting just the same!! They must have loved your new glasses ...compliments on you! lol

Awww honey!!! We had a bunch of robberies back when I first started too...I always thought it was risky to leave things in the rooms but then again I'm paranoid...You should see me at breaks at school... Everyone laughs at me cuz I pack up my computer every time I go on break or to lunch...Must be the backpacker in me...If it's not on my back it can be stolen....
At least, they didn't take anything that is to valuable to you like you Ipod or Camera and you still have your ARC...although if you were looking for an excuse not to leave....hmmm why didn't I think of that one?
