Everland

Everland is the Korean version of Disneyland in the mountains outside of Seoul. For the most part it was just like being at any theme park back home. There's cheesy music playing, happy people, lines waiting to get on a ride. There were a few things that we found at Everland that we'd never find back home like peanut butter squid and potato lattes and many many men in pink.

The majority of the people in the costumes in the shows, parades and walking around were "white". We talked from some of them and found out that they're from Romania, but we're sure that the performers in the shows were Russian since they were so good at gymnastics. It was strange enough that they wanted foreigners instead of Koreans, but the white people that they did have had to wear blonde wigs. It's like they're not white enough. Who can figure.
I love that this magical place is surrounded by mountains. It's one of those beautiful Korea moments.

Everland also has its version of "A Small World" called "Global Village". They had some really terrible stereotypes of many countries. (check my Facebook for more images of that)
We counted 74 couple outfits throughout the day. Koreans love to dress the same when they're in love.

People all over the park were wearing these headbands with animals, ears and flowers on them. Not just the girls and boys, but men and women too!

I caught the "buzz" from reading your post.

(I've been sick with a cold, with a lot of running, and that's where I have been.)

Everland has a plagiarized feel to it.

I looked through the pictures again and there's all sorts of people in costumes and such. Wowzers!

I was actually popping in to say that I need a Dr. Fish. My feet hurt in a general stiffness sort of way.

The wooden one is new...it opened a few months ago. It's intense. The most exciting roller coaster I've ever been on. It has one of the steepest drops of all the costers world wide.

Yes, everyone was doing the two-handed wave and looking super cute in their kiddie wear.
