Aubite
Konglish is the incorrect use of English words by Koreans.
Some of the words don't make any sense. For example:
cider= sprite
cunning= cheating
service= something "on the house"
fishing= joking, pulling your chain
My favourite of all the Konglish words is "aubite". I hear it at least once a day. Naturally, kids love to talk about gross stuff like that. To them aubite=over eat=throw up.
I don't know how many times I've told my classes that "aubite" isn't a real word and that they should use "throw up" instead. I tell them that if they have to throw up to just run. Now that my youngest class has learned this new "funny" word they use it all the time. "Teacher throw up!" When I ask them if they feel like they're going to, they just laugh and say "fishing!"
Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it...
