I don't update my blog nearly as much as I'd like to. Things have been busy lately with working the 11 hour days of intensives. I have managed to remain social at the same time. Unfortunately that leaves very little alone time. So instead of dedicating a whole entry to each picture I figured I'd just give a brief update on things lately.

This little girl is in Jenn's J4 class. She reminds me of my sister, Ashleigh when she was young SO much. (Luckily she doesn't have an English name so I actually call her Ashleigh. She doesn't seem to mind.) It's the funniest thing ever. I'm so drawn to her and I just want to talk to her and give her a great big hug. She understands that she makes me homesick and has been so good about talking with me (even though I'm some random teacher.) Her size, wavy hair (which is unique for Koreans) skin colour and just the way she is so smiley makes me think of Ashleigh.

Sharon, Suyeon, Heeun and Matt at Thai Orchid after our tiring day of shopping in Itaewon. I'm going to miss Sharon and Matt so much. (They leave on Thursday.)

The ladies at M&S's good bye party.

It's the season for harvesting red peppers to make their famous gkochujang (red pepper paste) These large mats with the peppers drying in the sun are everywhere...the side of the street, sidewalks, parks, roof tops....they're beautiful.

I couldn't resist laying on the glass-covered rose petal hallway in the Norebang (Korean Karaoke).

This is the park across the street from my apartment.

This is part of the historical Hwasong Fortress in Suwon near Namun market. You can't see it in the picture, but it's in the center of a giant roundabout.

We are the mac crew. Everyone else is just jealous ;) Melissa, Roxy, me and Cynthia

omg, I LOVED the picture of the red peppers so freaking much! It artistic and journalistic and surreal. I totally stole it :D
That's really nice that you can call a random student by your sister's name. It's not creepy at all.
haha! Man, I hope I didn't just steal that homesickness cure away from you.
I met a girl last week who just arrived in Korea on Sunday. She's teaching there for a year and her name is Kim Perrott. I have no idea where or when or how, but she's hilarious and it'd make the world smaller for all of us if you actually met her there.
Have a good one!
