Jennifers' week

Jenn slaved away all day on a big feast for her birthday. She even made a special earthquake cake, which was delicious. I greased the pan, found some bread and wrapped up chicken. I'm such a big help.

Its not that I don't like Christmas...its just that I don't get really crazy over it. It doesn't even really feel like Christmas to me here. Back home its about going to the mall a million times, going to see a movie and grabbing dinner after an exhausting search for the right gift, seeing all your friends and family and just generally being cheesy while listening to bad music. Here I have a stocking hanging that my sister sent to me in my Christmas package (which I opened two weeks ago). It wasn't until I had Mariah Carey stuck in my head all day on Sunday and then going over to Jennifers well decorated place that I started to realise that its that time of year. We had another quiet little bday celebration for her with another fantastic cake. I proceeded to act like a fool when Boney M came on. I never, ever thought that I'd be excited to hear them. I thought my parents were such nerds for listening to such ridiculous music. I guess it reminded me of them at this time of year. Its a good thing that I'm going to Thailand for the holidays. I think I'd be too sad if i was just sitting in my appartment alone. I leave Friday.

One of the perks to having a friend who's boyfriend is in the Air Force-sweet Christmas gifts that we'd otherwise wouldn't be able to get our paws on here. Memory foam for our beds! pure gold...
