Travels
I just found out that we have a 5 day vacation for Chinese New Year a few days after I return to Korea. I want to go somewhere warm. I want to go somewhere cheap, and not too far away. I want people to come with me, but it looks like I won't get all of my heart's desires. I can't seem to convince anyone to come with me.
So I think I'm going to just go to Cambodia alone.
I can't just stay in Korea when everyone else is off somewhere else with someone else. I would be sad and bored being in my apartment with nothing to do. (The country pretty much shuts down during the major holidays) Also, I feel like I'd be missing out on prime travel time to the places that are just too hot to visit during the majority of our vacation time if I didn't go.
(and I might need to thaw out from being in Canada for two months ;)

When is chinese new year? Jongwon and I are going to cambodia around Feb 15th (not booked tickets yet, but that's the plan) for about a week, and then to Thailand.

I found your blog and just wanted to say hello. I hope you are enjoying your time in Korea. I miss Korea and Japan sometimes. It was difficult at times but I did learn a lot from the experience. I teach EFL in Poland now and it is quite interesting. I know how it is when everything shuts down for the holidays and everyone is with someone. It happened in Korea and now it is even more difficult in Poland. They have a lot of religious holidays in Poland and if I forget about it, I can't find any food :-)
